MV Boudicca approaching Helsingør on May 27, 2013

This morning another classic cruise ship, Fred. Olsen Cruise Line's MV Boudicca, entered Øresund. The 205 m x 26 m ship is on its way from Kristiansand to Visby, Gotland.

The ship was built in 1973 by the Wärtsilä Hietalahti shipyard in Helsinki as Royal Viking Sky. Before it joined the Fred. Olsen fleet in 2006 it had several other owners and names: Sunward (Norwegian Cruise Line), Birka Queen (Birka Cruises), Golden Princess (Princess Cruises), SuperStar Capricorn (Star Cruises), Hyundai Keumgang (Hyunday Merchant Marine) and Grand Latino (Iberojet).
