The rape seed fields here in Hittarp are not yet in their most intensive stages of yellow, but they are already fairly colourful: 
Catastrophes, wars, terrorism, ecological disasters, deadly diseases, poverty .... The list of tragedies - both personal and public - is endless. Every day and hour media, politicians, experts - and charlatans - bring us a never ending barrage of bad things. No wonder that many people feel depressed and weary. This blog tries - in a modest and personal way - to contribute to a more balanced view. After all, there is so much to appreciate and enjoy in life ...

The Finnish Navy´s minelayer Uusimaa in Öresund

The Finnish Navy´s minelayer Uusimaa was today going northwards in Öresund. The ship is on its way to Leith in Scotland. The Hämeenmaa class ship can assume a wide selection of roles, from minelayer and espionage ship to escort and anti-submarine warfare ship. It is also considered "practically perfect for monitoring Russia´s Baltic fleet", according to Wikipedia.
