The AIDAcara has for the last few years been a springtime "early bird" in Öresund. Early this morning (at about 5.30 AM) she was approaching Helsingør on her way to Copenhagen:

The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra - One of Sweden´s best

Helsingborg is fortunate to have an excellent symphony orchestra. Last night I went to one of their popular "After Work" concerts.

The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra last night after Beethoven´s fourth. Stefan Solyom is their new principal conductor. The "After Work" concerts are quite informal, which is nice.

Street lights in Helsingborg

Early this morning I photographed some of the nice street lights in Helsingborg:

Snow and snowdrops

This morning we woke up with a thin snow cover on the ground - the first serious snow this winter.

 

 

However, in the afternoon the sun had melted almost all of the snow. In the neighbouring nature reserve I saw this year´s first snowdrops! Quite a pleasant surprise this early in the year. Hopefully the there will soon be other signs of a coming spring ... :-)
