The sailing cruise ship Sea Cloud II was tonight on its way northwards in Öresund: 

Some information about the ship:

The Sea Cloud II is a large barque built as a cruise ship, and operated by Sea Cloud Cruises GmbH of Hamburg, Germany. A luxury vessel, she sails under the Maltese flag. The Roman suffix II indicates that she is the company's second ship. She is neither a sister to, nor the successor of, the Sea Cloud (ex Hussar II), but a separate vessel.

The Sea Cloud II is a square-rigger with fore-mast, main-mast and mizzen-mast. The top of her main-mast is 57 m (187 ft) above deck. Her 23 sails have a total area of approximately 3,000 m² (32,000 sq ft). She is sailed traditionally by hand, as is common, for example, on sail training ships. (Wiki)

Two Russian submarines in Öresund

Two Russian submarines were today on their way northwards in Öresund. The submarines were accompanied by the Russian Navy salvage tug SB 921. 

Vintage Chevrolet fire engine

This 1936 Chevrolet fire engine was still in use in the neighbouring village of Allerum

in the early 1970s. The driver in the first picture, a now retired firefighter,

 was one of the last who drove the fire engine while it was still in active duty. 

Long distance swimmers in Hittarp

These two long distance swimmers crossed the Öresund last Sunday morning. 

The shortest distance from the Danish side to Hittarp on the Swedish side is about 4.5 km, but because of the wind and currents the swimmers actually covered about 9 km.
